This postcard shows Robben Island a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1999)

Robben Island ( Robbeneiland) in Afrikaans is an island , some seven kilometres off the coast of Cape Town,South Africa.

Robben Island was used at various times between the 17th and 20th centuries as a prison, a hospital for socially unacceptable groups and a military base. Its buildings, particularly those of the late 20th century such as the maximum security prison for political prisoners (Nelson Mandela), witness the triumph of democracy and freedom over oppression and racism (apartheid).

Justification for his inscription:

The buildings of Robben Island bear eloquent testimony to its sombre history.

Robben Island and its prison buildings symbolize the triumph of the human spirit, of freedom, and of democracy over oppression.

The Great Temple at Abu Simbel, which took about twenty years to build, was completed around year 24 of the reign of Rameses the Great (which corresponds to 1265 BC).It is generally considered the grandest and most beautiful of the temples commissioned during the reign of Rameses II, and one of the most beautiful in Egypt.

It is part of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE known as the "Nubian Monuments" in 1979

Notre Dame Cathedral (full name: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, "Our Lady of Paris") is a beautiful cathedral on the the Île de la Cité in Paris. Begun in 1163 and mostly completed by 1250, Notre Dame is an important example of French Gothic architecture, sculpture and stained glass.

The Notre Dame is the most popular monument in Paris and in all of France, beating even the Eiffel Tower with 13 million visitors each year. But the famous cathedral is also an active Catholic church, a place of pilgrimage, and the focal point for Catholicism in France - religious events of national significance still take place here.

The miniature sheet illustrates the nocturnal animals in Malaysia. There are 2 stamps, one of RM3 shows "slow loris" and the 2 nd stamp Rm2 "the tarsier".

The stamps on the left of the cover had been issued on the 16 September 2008. It is a set of ten stamps on topic of "Royal headgears".

On my cover, the 4 stamps in the left illustrates the royal headgears of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Kedah Sultan, Perak Sultan, Perlis Raja.

And the stamp at the right illustrates the royal headgear of Selangor sultan.
